One Litre Of Tears + To Do List

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 12:52 AM
is the best drama/movie I've ever watched... If you haven't watched it, and you would like to see how a young girl of just 15 years old suffers from the cruel clutches of Spinocerebellar Atrophy; her whole life changing from the crippling disease. It was so very touching; making viewers happy for the simple fact of life...

...and after watching; I've had a thought...

Is it really okay to just go on with what I want to do?

Should I not help others in the world instead; instead of blindly stumbling into something I won't be able to help a single person in?

It's a hard question; isn't it?

The heart breaking story of Aya Ikeuchi; based on the true story of the suffering of Aya Kiito truly makes one think about life; and I highly recommend you guys on dA to watch it (Silentregrets.com is a good place to get the drama or movie; your choice. :) ) The story truly grabs out at you; clutches your heart; as you follow the life of Aya Ikeuchi, absorbed into her world.

I used to think that my world was hard enough as it was; until I discovered this. Spinocerebellar Atrophy; a disease in which the neurons in the cerebellum slowly degenerate and disappear gradually over time. The patient first has troubles with his or her legs; slowly moving to the arms; rendering the patient bound to a wheelchair. As the disease slowly progresses, speech and eating becoming harder and harder until finally, the patient is restricted to a bed.

Watching how disabled people are so cruelly treated by some; hard glances shot in their direction; harsh words spearing their hearts, makes me want to become a better person and appreciate life for what it truly is.

This might look like just some crazy rambling; but One Litre Of Tears has truly affected me, and I think if you watched it too; maybe you can learn something too. :)

EDIT - I just remembered to add a to do list otherwise I'll forget what the heck I'm doing on here :)

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 10, 2009, 1:39 AM

My Journal~

WHHEEE~ This is mainly a spam entry to waste my (and your) time to test out some of the awesome skins that are on dA.

About submitting art; I might be a bit limited now (since I'm mainly going to acrylic paintings for quite a while and they usually take a fair bit of time to do); but I will definitely upload more stuff once I finish. :)

Self Promotion

PS - ANYONE KNOW HOW TO USE CSS??? For someone completely computer illiterate; if you have time to link me to some good sites to help with this thing (like tutorials on dA and stuff), that would be really appreciated haha. :)

Any good cheap printing presses? x33

Sun Nov 1, 2009, 11:30 PM
Hallo all~!

Hope you've all been keeping safe and happy (apart from school work which no-one likes...I hope...D:)

I might not be able to upload as much as before; but I promise at least one deviation per fortnight as long as nothing too crazy is happening haha.

I'm still drawing and painting a lot; the thing is; a lot of the stuff I don't want to put onto dA yet until I finish with them (like birthday presents and et cetera); so please forgive me hahah. :)

Back to the main point I was going to talk about before I went rambling like a crazy person;

Does anyone know any good printing places? The sort that prints pretty books from the stuff you give them at moderate prices; and you can buy like...batches of 5-10 books or some other tiny number like that for not too crazily expensive?

Even better still; would anyone know a printing press in Sydney; Hurstville; or the CBD that's not terrible expensive?

The thing is; I've been working on a private project at the moment; and I would REALLY like to turn the final product into a nice, glossy, colour art/storybook. :) I'll definitely upload it when I finish it off; and if you're in the vicinity of my school; you'll probably already have seen it haha.

I'd really like to give a few books away (if I ever get it done) to some of those really awesome friends out there~ :D

And it'll probably never be on sale until I'm ancient and 55 (Haha; maybe just till I'm old enough for PayPal and credit cards; I'm still you notes-and-coin boy now xDD).

The whole reason for this project?

I want something to perma-motivate me. :D

Anyway;

Have a wonderful time; wherever you are on this planet; and do what your heart tells you to.

Don't be motivated by piles of money (although terrible tempting haha); but instead be motivated by what you love doing. :)

Holidays and some stuff from before

Sat Oct 3, 2009, 4:57 PM
Weelll, I suppose I'm really overdue for a journal update; ain't I? xPP

Haha; school was stressing as usual; yet I don't think these holidays will change much either...so much emphasis on work, study, work, study, study....;w;. Good luck to those who are doing their SDD/IPT HSC very soon; and hope you get fantabulous marks! ^^

I guess I've been feeling a bit sentimental for the past few weeks, having finally turned 16 around a week and a half back. (Thank you everyone for your awesomeness on that day!~ You made that day one of the best in my short life. :glomp:)

I would also like to say to everyone here that I'm eternally grateful for all the times you've been here with me; either from a friend point of view, an artistic one, or a wonderful combination of both. You always lift me up when I feel down; and all your arts are so inspirational (even though slightly depressing making haha). Thank you all! :D

I guess it's truly made me look back on who I am and what I do and all that other self-reflective stuff haha; I can hopefully say that my drawings have improved a bit from a few months ago to now, yet I still have such a long way to go. DDx I must not give up hahaha.

Ooh...sorry about the spammage of realism pictures...I guess it's now my current art obsession haha...What do you guys think of them?

Anyway; I just realise how awfully short this journal is; and I really can't think of anything else to shove into here...so; have a great holidays to the teenagers of NSW (and probably a few other states); and for everyone else in the world; have a great end of year! :D :D

SMASH! =D And school has begun. Uh-oh...

Tue Aug 11, 2009, 3:32 AM
SMAAASH 2009!

IT was the most AWESOME DAY EVER! And argh, if it weren't for the fact that I had maths tutoring on Sunday, I would have definitely went on both days; there was simply soo much to do and see. AND FREE RED BULL IN THE MORNING! TEEHEE! I'm still so hyped about it, though I went on the 9th, it seemed sooo long agooo.

As with last year, the cosplays were SENSATIONAL! Some of the most awesome ones were -

Tidus - Gee. This guy got everything from the costume, to the dorky cheesy grin. XDD

Sol Badguy/Noctis - This person was simply just crazy - He knocked up in two different cosplays for the weekend, with an awesome sword for both.

Shinku/Suiseiseki/Kanaria - o_o. The costumes were just spastically correct, and especially with Shinku, the cosplayer had that air of a doll around her.

And sooo many more. But I should stop procrastinating...so I'll run through it faster.

Man alive was I glad to be there 45 minutes before the ticket booth entered. The lines got simply gigantic, and the same thing happened at the lunch stalls. Met up with some friends, and it was awesome to see ~Mul again. :D

The maid cafe promotional dance = win. XDD So much hype and good dance moves. And yay for Caramelldansen! :D The maid cafe itself, albeit the huuuge lines, was quite cool, with awesome cakes that tasted heavenly....

Haha, I was rather pressed for time this year, so I only managed to get a pair of bear/paw glove thingos. I'll make an ID with them soon. xD

And that's a very dumbed down version of what I did this year. XDD

I've been drawing a lot, but I've hadn't had time to make the sketches into works I'm proud of yet, so I'll delay uploading them haha. School has been hectic as usual, so excuse my deadness...although I will try to upload at least once a week.

And that's it from me,

Ciao! :)
